Gallery Dojo is dedicated to contemporary realism and the enduring discipline behind it. Based in Austin, TX, and connected to a traditional atelier, Atelier Dojo, the gallery represents artists whose work reflects a deep commitment to technical mastery and observation. While the atelier provides training in the traditions of classical painting, the gallery’s program focuses on mid-career to established artists, who demonstrate a high level of technique while pushing boundaries into contemporary context.
In Japanese, dojo means “place of the way”, a space devoted to practice, discipline, and the pursuit of mastery. That ethos informs the gallery’s curation where we offer collectors the opportunity to engage with a new generation of realist painters bringing fresh vitality to a practice that has spanned centuries.
